WEEK #1/2 -

Post #220 (1-0): 7 vs. Bridgewater: 4; Post #220 starts the 2016 summer season w/ a win at Spillane Field as Tom Cummings (Upper Cape/UMass Dartmouth) allowed only two earned runs in a complete game effort. Bryant Salkind (Old Rochester) led the offense by going 3-for-4 w/ two doubles and Will Hopkins (Old Rochester) collected his first American Legion Baseball hits by going 2-for-4 w/ two runs scored. John Breault (Old Rochester) played solid behind the plate and went 2-for-3 w/ a double. Sam Bacchiocchi (Tabor/WPI) added a base hit and Nick Gagner (Upper Cape) collected first American Legion Baseball hit w/ an RBI in the fifth inning.

Post #220 (2-0): 5 vs. Pembroke: 1; Justin Sylvia (Middleboro) tossed five strong innings by allowing only four hits and collecting two strikeouts along the way, while Zach Moretti (Wareham) finished strong by tossing the final two frames w/ three strikeouts. Tom Cummings (Upper Cape/UMass Dartmouth), Bryant Salkind (Old Rochester), and John Breault (Old Rochester) had two hits apiece, while Kyle Brezinski (Old Rochester) and Sam Bacchiocchi (Tabor/WPI) each added a base hit. Hunter Parker (Old Rochester) picked up his first American Legion Baseball hits by going 2-for-4 and Kylar Macoratti (Bourne) also picked up his first American Legion Baseball hits by going 2-for-3 at the plate.

Post #220 (3-0): 4 vs. Plymouth: 1; Thanks to Will Hopkin's (Old Rochester) solo homerun in the first inning, Cam Coelho (Tabor) took a one run lead and his no-hitter into the sixth inning before a leadoff slow roller towards second base was called safe to break up the bid. Plymouth fought hard to tie the game and was originally awarded the go ahead run until a safe call at the plate was overturned. From there, Hopkins led off the bottom of the sixth inning w/ a double and after a John Breault (Old Rochester) single, Kyle Brezinski (Old Rochester) knocked in the go ahead run w/ a line drive up the middle. Daniel Renwick (Old Rochester) contributed to the offense by adding an RBI base hit and a stolen base.

Post #220 (4-0): 11 vs. Kingston: 1; In back to back games, Will Hopkins (Old Rochester) knocks one out of Spillane Field w/ a two-run homerun. On this night, Hopkins filled up the stat sheet by going 3-for-3 w/ 2 RBIs, a walk, a stolen base and three runs scored.
